Atelier Policy

ATELIER ETIQUETTE

To help us provide the best possible service and preserve the beauty of our gowns, we kindly ask that you keep the following in mind during your appointment:


No Outside Food or Beverages
To protect our gowns and maintain a clean, luxurious space, we ask that guests refrain from bringing food or drinks into the atelier.


No Makeup on the Bride
We kindly request that brides avoid wearing foundation, bronzer, or other heavy makeup during fittings, as these products can easily transfer onto our delicate fabrics.


Payment Method
Please arrive with a secure method of payment. We accept credit cards, bank transfers, and OPay. Kindly note that cash, checks, and C.O.D. (Cash on Delivery) are not accepted.


ATELIER POLICIES


APPOINTMENT & GUEST POLICY

We are committed to providing a focused, enjoyable and luxurious experience for every client. Each bridal client  is welcome to bring up to three guests. 


To help maintain a relaxed, distraction-free environment, we kindly recommend that children under the age of 10 not attend appointments. Our boutique is intimate and filled with delicate gowns, accessories and equipment such as machines, pins, scissors and sharp tools that may not be safe for little ones. Additionally, appointments typically last up to 90 minutes, which can be a long time for young children to remain engaged.  If childcare is unavailable, we completely understand and are happy to help you reschedule for a more convenient time.  If having a child attend your appointment is important to you, we ask that they remain under adult supervision at all times—for their safety and out of consideration for the experience of others and staff.  In the event that a child or guest becomes disruptive, we reserve the right to end the appointment early and invite you to reschedule.

No Holds, All Sales Final:
Our items are final sale. There is no pressure to buy, but please visit when you are ready to commit to a dress since we cannot hold gowns after they're designed. We have a limited refund policy and a no return or exchanges policy. All sales are final.


RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that life happens, and plans may need to change. To ensure the best possible experience for all our guests, we kindly ask that you notify us of any appointment changes in advance.


Rescheduling:
If you need to reschedule your appointment, we ask for at least 48 hours’ notice. This allows us to offer your slot to someone on our waitlist and help you find a new time that works best for you.


Cancellations:
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice—or missed entirely—may be subject to a cancellation fee or require a non-refundable deposit for future bookings.


Running Late?
If you’re running more than 15 minutes late, please contact us immediately. We’ll do our best to accommodate you, but in some cases, we may need to shorten your session or reschedule.  Your time is precious—and so is ours. These policies help us maintain a smooth, relaxed and respectful experience for every guest we serve.

CUSTOM COMMISSION & PAYMENT POLICY

Each garment is created through a carefully managed couture process designed to provide exceptional craftsmanship, personalized service, and an elevated client experience. To ensure the highest standards of quality and scheduling integrity, the following policy applies to all custom commissions.


FABRIC SUBMISSION

Clients may submit fabrics for review and project planning.

Please note that fabric submission alone does not initiate production, reserve a production slot, or guarantee a completion date.

Fabrics are received pending consultation, design approval and project confirmation.


DESIGN CONSULTATION & DEVELOPMENT

Following fabric submission, clients are encouraged to complete their design consultation.

During this stage, our team may provide guidance regarding:

  • Design selection
  • Silhouette recommendations
  • Fabric suitability
  • Construction considerations
  • Styling details
  • Finishing options

The purpose of the consultation process is to ensure every client confidently arrives at a final design direction before production begins.


PROJECT CONFIRMATION

A custom commission is considered confirmed only after the following requirements have been completed:

  • Fabric submitted and reviewed
  • Design consultation completed
  • Final design approved
  • Measurements confirmed
  • Required deposit received

Production cannot begin until all project confirmation requirements have been satisfied.


ATELIER RESERVATION WINDOW

Clients are provided a 30-day reservation window from the date of fabric submission.

During this period, clients are encouraged to:

  • Finalize their design
  • Confirm measurements
  • Submit the required deposit

This allows us to reserve space within our production calendar and maintain efficient scheduling.


ACTIVE PROJECT STATUS

Projects that meet all confirmation requirements within the 30-day reservation window will remain in Active Status.

Active projects receive:

  •  Priority scheduling
  • Production planning
  • Confirmed completion timelines
  • Ongoing project management

Production reservations are secured only upon final design approval and receipt of the required deposit.


INACTIVE PROJECT STATUS

Projects that remain incomplete after 30 days will be moved to Inactive Status and released from active scheduling.

While fabrics will continue to be held with care, the following will apply:

  • Production dates are released
  • Completion timelines are no longer guaranteed
  • Priority scheduling is forfeited
  • Projects are removed from active production planning

Clients may reactivate their project at any time by completing design approval and submitting the required deposit.

Reactivated projects will be scheduled according to current atelier availability.


DESIGN REVISIONS

Clients are encouraged to finalize their preferred design direction before approval.

Once a design has been approved and production preparations have begun, significant design revisions may result in:

  • Additional consultation appointments
  • Timeline adjustments
  • Revised project costs

This policy helps preserve scheduling efficiency and production quality for all clients.


PAYMENT OPTIONS

Lyon Luxe Atelier offers two payment options for eligible custom commissions.


PREFERRED PAYMENT OPTION

Clients who choose to pay in full at the time of booking will enjoy:

  • Complimentary shipping
  • Complimentary premium garment bag
  • Priority scheduling consideration
  • Simplified project management


STRUCTURED PAYMENT OPTION

For clients who prefer a flexible payment schedule, the following structure applies:

  • 60% deposit required to secure the commission and initiate the project
  • 20% due at the midway milestone in the production stage
  • Remaining 20% due on approval milestone or at pick-up

Shipping fees apply to all structured payment orders.

All balances must be paid in full prior to delivery or shipment.


LIMITED COMMISSION AVAILABILITY

To maintain the highest level of craftsmanship and personalized attention, Lyon Luxe Atelier accepts a limited number of custom commissions each month.

Timely design approval and deposit are essential to securing preferred production dates.
